Chef Marko is a Chef Instructor teaching vegetarian and vegan cuisine and specializing in healthy alternative diets. Chef Marko has worked in the culinary arts as an executive chef, cookbook author, food writer and culinary instructor for over thirty years. He has cooked around the world and is currently the Culinary Education Specialist for Travaasa Resorts in Austin. Throughout his career, Chef Marko has enjoyed working as a performance artist, cookbook author, television personality and contemporary chef. As an advanced student with John Ash at the Culinary Institute of America, Greystone, he served as the private chef for Kevin Spacey while filming in Austin and worked with an assignment with Dr. Oz. and his extended family. Chef Marko’s focus is promoting cost effective, environmentally sustainable and nutritious strategies using nutrient dense foods prepared to be visually engaging and absolutely delicious. As a Chef Instructor he is gratified over what students learn in his classes and he says “I really get a kick out of seeing students evolve into successful culinary artists”.
