Chef Leah is a Lead Chef Instructor teaching Vegetarian and Vegan Cooking, as well as a Lead Chef Instructor for Current Issues in Food. Chef Leah is a Chef graduate of the Natural Epicurean Academy of Culinary Arts and holds a Bachelors degree in Health Information Management from the University of Pittsburgh. She left a career in Information Technology to pursue her true passion: cooking delicious, nourishing food and enjoys honing her culinary techniques in the Austin restaurant and hospitality scene. Currently Chef Leah works as a professional chef at Whole Foods Market’s flagship store in Austin, where she prepares fresh seafood and vegetables in an open-kitchen restaurant within the store. She also works as a personal chef, preparing healthy, often gluten-free, meals. As Lead Chef Instructor for Current Issues in Food, Chef Leah is able to share her varied experience, knowledge, interests and enthusiasm with Natural Epicurean’s culinary students.
